How did an ordinary object end up in museum galleries? Why is a banana wrapped in tape worth millions? In this class, we will explore the origins of contemporary art, seeking to understand the social phenomenon and controversial practices surrounding it.

MODERN ART

This class will cover the history of modern art in its various artistic expressions. We will also take a look at the different avant-garde movements to complement the topic, analyze works from the period, and discuss their impact on society.

The history of art, art as a concept, and how this defined artistic creation for centuries. In this class, we will look at the entire history of art from a different perspective: from prehistory to the contemporary era, you will understand how the concept of art in each era changed the way humans created art. In the end, you will understand the history of art as a coherent process and be able to identify the elements that defined art in each era.
